Dogs & Children Policy for Walk Moffat
OUR CHILDREN POLICY
Walk Moffat welcomes children on our guided walks, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
As a volunteer‑run organisation, we do not provide childcare or supervision, and we do not require PVG/DBS certification for our walk leaders.
To ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, Walk Leaders may decide that a particular walk is not suitable for a child due to age, ability, terrain, or expected conditions. This decision is made with the wellbeing of the whole group in mind, and the Walk Leader’s judgement is final.
Parents and guardians are kindly asked to consider the length, difficulty, and weather conditions before booking, and to ensure that their child is prepared for the walk they wish to join.
OUR DOGS POLICY
At Walk Moffat, we absolutely understand how much joy a four‑legged companion can bring to a walking adventure. Many of our guests are dog lovers themselves, and so are we.
However, to keep our routes safe, comfortable, and accessible for everyone, we’re not able to welcome dogs on our guided walking weekend. Some of our trails pass through farmland, wildlife areas, or terrain where dogs—no matter how well‑behaved—could face risks or cause disruption.
We hope this gentle note helps you plan with confidence, and we’re always happy to chat about the routes, terrain, or anything else you might need to make your trip smooth and enjoyable.
If you have any questions about accessibility, planning, or alternative options, just let us know — we’re here to help.
